I'm pretty "meh" on getting answers to my feedback. I mean, I assume the writer *got* the feedback, and that's all that matters to me. If they have time to answer and say thanks back, cool! If not, no big! I'm not leaving the kudos to get anything back, you know? They already wrote an awesome enough story that I liked enough to say something!
If you're bent on answering all the old comments, yeah, I'd say something about the time lapse, but that's just me. I'm so laid back about this kind of thing - I don't understand people who would/could/do get bent out of shape about it. :)
