Filed my state taxes, and called to set up a payment plan.

I've called for Matthew's Concerta script refill.

Been to the bank.

Been to Unemployment Office.

Picked up the script refill.

Went to the pharmacy and 1) dropped off one script, 2) picked up the ones that were ready.

Came home and requested my unemployment check.

I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off. Heh. Actually, I'm going to take some benedryl and lapse into an antihistime coma.

And best of all, tonight is the 100th SPN ep! \o/ I fully expect it's going to break my heart, but I don't care. That's what I love about SPN. :)

Sounds productive, but tiring. *hugs* How's the Concerta working? I ask because of A's daughter, who just got started on it and has been having some side effects.

Nah, I don't need to PM :) Concerta works really well for Matthew -- but he's been on it for...eight years, now. I don't remember if he had any side effects, though he probably had a few. Right now he's on the max dose he can be on -- he takes 72mg (two 36mg's in the morning). It doesn't have the marked effect on him now that it did five years ago -- I think as the kids get older their brains do adjust somewhat. But he also drinks a lot of diet pepsi, and caffeine acts as a natural depressant for kids with ADHD, so that probably helps some.

What sort of side effects is she having? How long has she been on it?

It was a busy morning. But I was determined to get it all done, because it's gonna be HOT today (it's over 80 already) and I am not going back outside.

She started about a month ago, discontinued briefly because of another med she was on that conflicted, and then got put back on it a week or two ago. She's been having major mood swings and night terrors, and her teachers have been making her sit out activities because she can't control her anger.

It sounds like she needs to talk to A's doctor, because those are some pretty severe side effects -- particularly if she's on other meds.

I asked Matthew (joking) if he wanted to move to Alaska. I would hate the winter, but right now it'd be welcome. o_O He didn't think it was funny.

It's hard to say what's a side effect and what's her primary disorder, since they keep changing that. She's supposed to be ADHD, she's supposed to be depressed with psychotic features, she's supposed to be schizotypal, she's supposed to be bipolar, she's supposed to be a combination of all of them, or maybe she's exaggerating or lying about her experiences to get attention and manipulate others...

*sigh* Poor kid. So it doesn't sound like the type of side effects Matthew had at all?

No, not at all. Like I said, it's hard to remember eight years back, but I think if he had anything it was a bit of a headache and some issues with his appetite for a little while.

I think... if I was your friend, I would take my child somewhere else for another opinion/evaluation. Geez.
