Merry Christmas from Kentucky :)
Dec. 25th, 2009 06:38 pmI hope everyone who is celebrating is having a good Christmas; I hope everyone else is having an awesome Friday :)
We had a good Christmas here in the Kim-and-Matthew household. Matthew got me a "Foot Spa" for my gift, and I can't wait to use it. Heat! Bubbling water! I imagine I won't want to stop using it :) Matthew's gift from me (and his Grandpa Tom) was Guitar Hero World Tour/Guitar Hero Five Band Bundle (drum kit, guitar, wireless mic, both games, a guitar "carrying case", and keychain). He also got a Jeff Hardy (wrestler) DVD, and the Greatest Moments in Smackdown from Mickey, so we've watched a LOT of wrestling in the last couple of days :)
My aunt gave me a tablecloth and dresser scarf that my grandmother embroidered -- predating my mom and aunt. I'm very !!!! about those, as well as the "household est'd" plaque that was made for my grandparents for their 50th wedding anniversary. It was kind of a Christmas-to-remember-those-gone, because I put together sets of postcards in a frame for mom, aunt and my sister, that grandpa gathered when he was on leave in Paris, in 1944.
Thank you to
janissa11 and
munibunny for the v-gifts, and to
deirdre_c for the very entertaining e-card :) Many, MANY thanks to
killabeez for the Primeval DVDs! And loads of thanks for all the gorgeous cards that've made their way into my mailbox to
verabell,
fpvs,
meinnim (and for the tree!),
synecdochic and
sarahq,
kimannebb (it was the right address!),
nopseud (and husband),
rivers_bend,
pensnest,
msktrnanny,
keyweegirlie,
kitanachan,
agt_spooky,
kashmir1,
apetslife,
beledibabe, and
dine.
And man, I hope I didn't miss anyone! (We also didn't pick up the mail yesterday, so if I am missing something, it's probably out in the mailbox.)
Also, happy birthday wishes to
without_me and
clumsygyrl; I hope you've both had a good (dual) celebration today. *hugs*
*hugs all around* Thank you to all of you for making my Christmas, my year, my life a much happier, richer one. I am truly, deeply blessed to have you all in my life.
