Erf. I always forget, in amidst my whining about how much I hate winter, that I actually hate spring more. Well, it's a love-hate relationship. I love warmer, longer days and sunshine and rain, and NO SNOW...but I hate the pollen, so so SO much. And trees? start producing the stuff in February. Yay. It's why I'm wheezing and snuffling, and why I feel so draggy, no matter how much sleep I get. But knowing why doesn't make it not bug me. /whine

I'm going to start plotting out my Big Bang over the next couple of days, drawing up a rough outline and all that jazz. I'm going to have Questions About Stuff -- nursing-related, cancer patient care-related, things of those sorts. So, if you're in the health-care profession and you don't mind my picking your brain, would you leave me a comment with your email addy, or drop me a note at ohmickeym at gmail dot com, please? Bonus if you have experience/expertise in oncology or surgery. o_O

I sent my paystubs in to social security last week, and got a letter back from them today that said basically "oh, we overpaid you for February and for March, so you owe us $xxx.xx", which I find rather laughable, considering my income for February is half what it normally is. So I'm going to take ALL my paperwork in with me to work tomorrow, and call them, and see if I can either 1) resolve this over the phone (doubtful) or 2) get an appointment to go in with said papers, and get it resolved (more likely). #1 would be my first choice, as #2 will require me taking some time off work, and dammit, I really didn't want to do that.

I guess it has been six months or so since I last had to tangle with SSA. I suppose I'm overdue, huh? *headdesk*

(Seriously--how can they think they *overpaid me* when I have less income than what they originally projected for me, to calculate Matthew's payment? I do not understand.)

My mother will be here in T-minus three days. My house is still messy. Sam and Dean haven't had sex yet. Argh.

But I got an awesome compliment at work today: my coworker who does most of the training, because she is now the senior property clerk, was talking about the lady we had in as a trainee who decided after eight weeks of training that she couldn't deal, and my coworker said "That test I gave her, after eight weeks, that she couldn't get? Kim knew the answers to some of the questions, and she's not a property clerk!" Go me, for paying attention. *g* And no, I have no desire to be a property clerk. I wouldn't get first-shift, and it wouldn't be a M-F thing like my job is... and I need both of those. Plus, they make decent money, but it's not enough for the hassles I see them having to deal with. Thanks, but no.

Okay. Time to go see if I can bend Sam and Dean to my will. At least for an hour.
