Because it's freezing cold, and I am not only snowed in, I'm ICED in (though at least my power came back on and stayed on), I present to you, oh flist, something to distract me :)

So, leighm and I are talking about Jared (as we do), which led to a discussion about Jared/Jensen (as it does) and then onto Sam and Dean. (What? It's a common, natural, daily progression for us *g*)

We were talking about the epic, lasting love that is Sam and Dean, and I told her that it's not even a physical thing for me -- they ARE everything to each other, emotionally. They are in love with one another, and it shines through in the things they say and do, to, with and for the other. But we also both agreed that we would love to see them put their hands on the other's face and kiss them. And really, for me? That would do it. I don't need to see them fucking -- that's almost...I don't want to say trivial, but it's. Kind of superlative, I think. They might go elsewhere occasionally to get physical needs met (Ruby, Anna) but they turn to each other for emotional needs.

So! My question to you all, if you choose to share *g* is: If Supernatural were moved to HBO, or Showtime, or whatever...what would you want to see that we're not going to/or are likely to see since it's on regular network television?

(Or, alternately, just share with me your favorite what-they-can-show-us-on-tv moment that we've had so far!)

I totally agree with what you said.

I too see more of an emotional bond than a merely physical one. Whereas in my personal canon, they also DO love each other physically, this is not the defining characteristic.

If the show were to be moved to Showtime/HBO, I'd be satisfied with holding and kissing and touching. I wouldn't need to see graphic evidence of them being strong, healthy men. I'd rather see the emotional side of their relationship.

Even if I take my slashglasses off, I still wanna see the familiarity that comes from guys sharing close quarters over long periods. One peeing while the other brushes teeth (hell, they only have one bathroom, this has to have happened!). Walking around naked, scratching balls (shown from the back, of course), while trying to wake up enough to pick what clothes to wear for the day. Arguing over who does laundry. Arguing over who owns (or gets to wear) the soft grey boxer-briefs.

Now, if I put those slashglasses back on, and if HBO/SHO decides incest is okay to show, I wanna see them in bed together in as many different positions as possible. I wanna see asses pumping and legs in the air and long, messy, hot kisses. Hands clutched in hair, hands around waists, hands all over bare skin. As if you couldn't guess by now, I have a thing for wanting to see Jared's big paws all over Jensen.

I would love to see a slow, sudden realization where one of the boys realizes that their feelings for each other go far beyond fraternal; some sort of shock/realization crossing their faces (and god knows our boys have the expressive faces required for this!!) And then a slow pan as their faces get closer and closer, hands smoothing over arms, up shoulders, behind necks, pulling each other closer and then, a long, slow kiss. Something full of love and longing and desire.

Or, alternatively, cursing. You just know every other word out of Dean's mouth is a cuss word. One of the reasons I loved the Ghostfacer's episode was the bleeped curse words.

My favorite moment so far was in 'Hunted', S2. The moment where Sam frees Dean from the chair, and Dean's first action is to pull Sam up and check him over; his hands on Sam's neck and jaw, tilting his head back... Guh.

There's so much I'd LOVE to see - from more emotional moments to kissing to flirting to sex - but realistically? I think on HBO we could at least get something like a drunken kiss, a motel make-out/fight session. A one-time slip, most likely, but I really think it could happen, and so it makes it that much hotter for me, thinking, only if we weren't on network TV...

I like the idea of snuggling. The one thing these boys lack is comfort. They live in such a cold, cruel world, all I really want is for them to find comfort. I think it's pretty much canon that they haven't had that their entire lives... Kissing, snuggling... it all works. The graphic sex is not necessary, not really.
