Matthew had to watch the debate tonight, for his Social Studies class. He wanted me to suffer watch with him, so I did. Had a bit of a nice chat with thehighwaywoman until McCain's voice got the better of me and I could no longer concentrate on anything but his whining droning no, droning works. Ugh.

This is what I came away from the debate with:

I was completely sick of "Joe the Plumber" by the end, and as sinuous_curve mentioned, whoever told McCain to use that schtick? Should be shot. (Repeatedly, in my opinion.)

Someone really needs to let McCain know that Downs Syndrome and Autism are NOT the same. Not even a little bit. Different disorders, differently impacting the lives they touch.

McCain might say his politics are different from The Shrub's, but from where I was sitting, listening, I didn't hear/see anything to indicate that.

Obama's a damned good speaker. He actually seemed to make some points, whereas McCain did a whole lot of rambling.

The election needs to get here NOW, because I'm so tired of politics I could scream.

Now to finish up packing and get the hell to bed.

When Twitchy John kept referring to autism, I thought about you and how you were probably shouting at the tv. What a moron he is. Those two disorders aren't even close...but, I guess in McCain's mind (in completely offensive terms) "one retarded baby is the same as another retarded baby."

I was appalled when, after the debate ended, the 12 undecided people Katie Couric interviewed were mostly "leaning" toward McCain. I mean, obviously, we weren't watching the same thing because... wha?

Spent 2 hours at a rail transit debate for Kira's school assignment. Dude.. our city is being run by a bunch of morons! *is sad*
