pondering past stories, and sharing one

So, reading LJ this afternoon, turps33 has a entry that contained the following comment:

Today I'm celebrating Easter by alternately reading stories at a Waycest comm and adultfanfic.net. So far I've read about anorexia, cutting, rape, depression, prostitution, incest, much crying and willowy limbs. I feel bestiality and necrophilia are needed to complete the set. (emphasis is mine)

I responded that only in fandom could you find a sentence like that last one, and have it make sense. *g* And then I realized Hey, I've written both! (Though not in the same story *g*)

And THAT got me to thinking about stories I've written in past fandoms, including the one that contains (technically, only by the strictest, barest definition) necrophilia. So I went back and re-read it...and y'know, I have to say I think it's one of the best stories I've ever written, in any fandom. It's not a new story, or even recent. The timestamp on the page says March, 2002. But yeah, I think it's one of the strongest, cleanest stories I've ever done:

Dude, I have NO idea, I haven't read bandslash in ages. I know there was some weird shit on mychemslash, and emo bands do tend to bring out the gangraping cannibal gangster types.

I have absolutely no clue, since I don't do bandom. I've asked Nic in my comment to hers above to let you know. :)

As far as Highlander...my story is only Highlander in as much as I borrowed the characters of Methos and Kronos, and the concept of immortality. There's nothing else to do with the Highlander, as it were.
