putting out fires, one at a time

Happy Halloween, Happy (blessed) Samhain, to all who are celebrating in some way. The Dean in my icon is trick-or-treating as a fireman. (It's the only thing I have that works, gimme a break.)

I'm still sick, though my fever finally broke. Yay for that, I suppose.

Note to writers: if you're writing kink, it's a good idea to know how to spell the kink you're writing about. As for example, human/animal is B-E-S-T-I-A-L-I-T-Y. There's only one 'a' in the word, not two.

And now to see if I can finish my programming homework before Hawaii Five-O. I have my doubts, but I won't know 'til I try. Or something.

Online dictionaries say that both are correct.

So...I actually never thought I would be looking this up in the dictionary, but it made me laugh, and the comment above made me wonder. The only two actual dictionaries I checked (Merriam-Webster and Dictionary.com) both list beAstiality as INcorrect, and suggest bestiality as you suggested. There are a whole lot of websites listed using the word "beastiality" though, so I think there must be a whole lot of people out there who don't know how to spell their kink. ;)

Glad your fever broke, hope you start to feel better as well.

Why I miss my uni-student access to the online Oxford Dictionary (http://www.definition-of.com/beastiality)

I wasn't suggesting there weren't any alternate spellings, there are a million online dictionaries now. I was just checking a couple of the most common ones that I know. Thanks for the link. :)

Oh, I don't think I'd trust that site. It looks like it has a community element to it, hence why it has the "alternative" spelling.

Hence why research is a grand thing! And easy to do on this newfangled thing called the internet!

Yay for the fever breaking!
