britomart_is very kindly invited me to be the "Ask the Author" for this month, over at spnroundtable, so if anyone wants to toss a question or two at me, the post is here. Ask away! :)

I watched some truly horrible television tonight, purely by chance: channel surfing past...I have no idea what channel it was, to be honest, I found myself watching something called "Most Outrageous Kid Parties", where a woman spent $32K on a birthday party for her daughter who was turning SIX YEARS OLD. Some sort of princess extravaganza, with 250 guests (all costumed at the expense of the party-thrower), in a "storybook castle", with dancers and buffet and fancy cake (the cake was $2300! the invitations were $3000!). I couldn't look away; it was like a train wreck happening right in front of me.

After that was two hours of "Intervention", and then a show also on A&E called "Heavy", which was both encouraging and depressing all at the same time.

Still need to study some for my mid-term tomorrow.

I FINALLY got the lab assignment figured out last night, and got my Virtual PC installed with Windows Server 2003 (many, MANY thanks to jamesinboots). One more assignment for that class -- a research paper, due Thursday -- and then I'm done with that one, as it's a bi-term class.

My child is girl-crazy, and I'd kind of like to wring his neck, but I'm starting to realize it's just...a teenage boy's normal default. Gah.

And now I go study :)

I download Heavy and actually like it a lot, and find it more realistic than The Biggest Loser. Though still not completely realistic being as most people can't go live in a purpose built resort for 6 months.

I'm not a reality TV kind of person but I like Deadliest Warrior and Ghost Hunters. Yeah, that's about it.
