oh the weather outside is...wintery *g*

Waving hello from the snowy wasteland of central Kentucky :) We're just under 4" of snow right now -- and nearly all of that has been in the last three-four hours. About an inch an hour is what we're getting.

I realize that what we have on the ground thus far is a paltry amount compared to what some of y'all get on a regular basis (lookin' at you, [livejournal.com profile] raynedanser and [livejournal.com profile] apetslife) but it's a sizable amount for down here. No school tomorrow; I'll be surprised if they have it Tuesday. (The snow is supposed to continue through mid-day tomorrow, along with gusty winds, and seriously cold temps -- including windchills down in the single digits.)

HAH. Matthew just asked me if I would drive over to pick up Eric tomorrow so he could come hang. I laughed out loud, and Matthew said, "sorry, dude." *g* I didn't even have to say no.

Glad I got all my errands run. Now I can spend tomorrow baking cookies :) Oh, and working on my [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_xmas story, which is determined at the moment to make me cry with frustration. Bad story.

I am unreasonably amused that Matthew calls you "dude." :)

An inch an hour is nothing to sneeze at—that's what we were getting during Snowmageddon last winter. Hope it tapers off for y'all before then! All we're getting is rain, boo—no chance of postponed exams.

Hee! Well, in this case, he was actually talking to Eric -- that's who he called 'dude'. But he does, on occasion, forget who he's addressing, and then I get called 'dude' :)

We have 4.5" on the ground down here, with another inch or so expected by morning. Most of central Kentucky is closed tomorrow -- schools, daycares, church programs, etc. It's not even the snow, per se, but there's ice all over the place, too, because before the snow came in we had rain yesterday (all day), which of course froze when the temp dropped abruptly.

FUN TIMES!

I don't know WHAT you are talking about. ;-)

If it's any consolation, no matter what the accumulation, an inch or more an hour is enough to make *me* stay home. ;-)
