I don't know how many of you knew her, but Atara Stein has passed away. She was on LJ as astarte59; I knew her from way back in Star Trek fandom (message boards!) and then 'found' her again in the BtVS fandom.

She was a very creative, intelligent, interesting person. I know she struggled with MS a lot in the last few years, and while her passing leaves an empty spot, I hope she's happy and at peace wherever she is, now.

RIP, Atara.

Oh my God, Kim, oh my God. I didn't know she was so unwell. Oh no.

She was dx'd with MS a while back; I know when I found her again probably four, five years ago, she was already struggling with it. The last year or two in particular were rough for her. I can't believe she's gone, but I know it has to be better for her, now.
