It was heartbreaking--writing it was painful. Moreso because I hadn't intended for it to be what it turned out being. It was meant, originally, to be a light-hearted, fun/kinky little bit...and then Dean wormed his way into the equation, and BAM. And yeah, Jess...Jess gets major kudos for doing that, for giving Sam what he needs even if that need is for something that's not her.
