Arkansas school board official makes anti-gay remarks

The Arkansas Department of Education has condemned anti-gay comments made by a local school board member and posted on a social networking site.

Midland School District Vice President Clint McCance wrote on his personal Facebook page that he wanted gay people to commit suicide, according to The Advocate, a newspaper focusing on gay news.

I wish that this man could be zapped into the body of a gay teenager, and have to live with the fear, the uncertainty, the knowledge that so many people hate you for who you love. I just can't understand the virulent hatred that so many people have for anyone who is different in some way.

I am so saddened by and so tired of all the hatred in the world, and honestly? If I was twenty years younger and considering starting my family? There's no way I would bring a child into this.

I agree. This is absolutely 1 of the very strong reasons why I don't want to have any children - this world is extremely fucked up. And I really strongly feel that instead of a lot of people my age popping out kids, they should consider adopting in order to take care of the kids who need protection so badly.

Also, this world makes me fucking SICK.

How is the world to get better if we don't teach our children to do better than our parents? Yes, the world is a horrid place but it is still *better* now than it was for previous generations, and the next generation can only improve things if they *exist*.

You're a good mother. I kinda wish you'd got seventeen children...

The point is that if you teach your kid right he will help make the world better :)
