not sure where this came from, but I'm so glad you shared it.

In a roundabout way, it came from a need inside me not to censor myself any more, to what I think people will or won't like. (That's kind of the short-form version of that, but it'll do. The long-form could take up pages :)) I'm really glad it was as accepted as it was -- because I know it's radically different from most (any?) of my other stories.
