Dayum, girl, you two did a tremendous job on this. Sometimes I can evaluate how good the writing is by whether it draws me in even when the topic is a squeamish one for me. Suffice it to say, I feel about needles and piercings kinda like JC does, and when I read that scene, I jumped and panicked with him, but you made me understand the allure of it to him despite his fear. JC's absolute trust that Lance and Chris would keep him safe, even as they tied him up, blindfolded the gullible boy and pierced him, gave the piece an underlying sweetness, too.
